Finally, they completed the Monorail project after so many years. The main reason for the delay is because of the South East Asian economic crisis in 1997. Anyway, i took 2 rides on the monorail. First from Tun Sambathan Station to Titiwangsa(about 18 minutes) when it cost only RM1 to anywhere. Then recently from Mahajaralela Station to Imbi which cost me RM1.20 for a 3 minute ride. The bus to Imbi would only cost RM0.70 even though it takes slightly longer.

This Monorail project costs about RM1.18 billion, more than the Star and Putra LRT when compared to the length of the track. Plus the ticket fare ranges from RM1.20 to RM2.50 for short distances. Very expensive. To save cost, KL Monorail decided to manufacture their own trains instead of ordering them from Hitachi. Ride comfort is something which KL Monorail cannot boast about. The trip was just simply 'shaky'. Below are the photos, check it out.
