This crane is built by Ransom & Rapier, England in 1883. This crane too was at the Ipoh Railway Station for many years. It was delivered to Kuala Lumpur Railway Station on 19.11.2002. The reason it was relocated was because of the electrified double tracking project from Rawang to Ipoh. Ipoh Railway station is being renovated for the project. The manufacturer, Ransom & Rapier also manufactured the hydraulic buffer which is in Singapore Railway Station.
